About

Tullochard was originally the Doctor’s House and the surgery for Dunvegan and the surrounding area, until the late 1990’s when a new medical centre was built across the road.  In 2003, Kate and Keith Elliott bought the house as a family home, using the spare rooms for Bed and Breakfast and expanding as their children grew and flew the nest.  For over twenty years they happily welcomed guests into their home, with many return customers and new friends made.  When Kate sadly passed away in 2023, her eldest Son, Tom, moved back to the Isle of Skye with his partner, Stef, to join Keith at Tullochard, and continue the B&B.
Tom and Stef quickly got stuck into upgrading parts of the house, focussing firstly on the renovation of the ground floor guest room, which was previously the dispensary for the surgery.  The rooms are being updated in keeping with the style of the original house, with many of the finishing touches handcrafted right here at Tullochard.  The renovation is documented on our social media pages, for anyone interested in seeing the makeover!
Having both had seagoing careers for most of their lives, Tom (Chief Engineer/Technical Manager) and Stef (Master Mariner/Harbour Master) are excited to have opened a new chapter of shoreside life, enjoying the beauty of Skye and at a slightly slower pace than offshore… well, maybe once the renovations are complete!  Keith has also chosen to enjoy a slower pace, and retired from the business at the end of 2024, although you will likely still see him pottering about.  Two Ship’s Cats, Bosun and Shanty, have joined our crew, and we all look forward to welcoming you to Tullochard House.
